How often do you find a fragrance that you can use everyday, for both day and night ?
Oscar the very first perfume by the late Oscar de la Renta, created by Jean-Louis Sieuzac in 1977. During his lifetime as an Iconic designer Oscar de la Renta was synonymous with classic femininity, and known for his gorgeously feminine fashion designs, this fragrance oozes femininity in a very grown up way.
This is a classic, floral, slightly sharp perfume of aromatic notes of lavender, rosemary and carnation, with sweet, powdery, musky base notes.
The top notes include orange blossom, basil, coriander, galbanum, peach and gardenia.
The base includes opoponax, carnation, patchouli, sandalwood, vetiver, lavender and amber.
Combined to give you a fragrance that will literally last all day,I have to say on first use I found this perfume really overpowering, in my impatience I expected to love it at first spray, given a few seconds to settle and warm it turned into something very sophisticated and rather lovely, the lasting power is second to none and I would say you really don't need to be too liberal with your spritzing. You really could imagine sitting in the front row of a Parisian fashion show and this fragrance gently wafting from the couture styled fashionistas.
If you love full on sophistication then this is definitely a fragrance for your collection.
