As you will know, I am a huge lover of face masks and especially cloth masks,

the ease of popping a mask directly on your face, without the faff of washing it all off makes it all such an easy experience.

I have discovered Green Energy Organics, as a gift from my friends at Millabaci, who are a luxury organics skincare boutique.  Green Energy are just one of the fabulous brands they have on offer.





This mask is the Quick Lift Therapy Mask, anti age lift effect.
On opening the sealed foil sachet you are presented with a full face pre cut sheet mask, although this one differs to any other that I have used in that it is a gel mask, as you peel the mask away from it's backing paper you can actually see the gel side which is placed on the skin,  this was so simple to do, and fitted beautifully, no air gaps or slipping, it just sat in place and didn't budge, the gel felt really cooling on the skin, although it is not a wet feeling at all.




After 30 minutes you simply Peel the mask from your face and throw it away.
On removal my skin was slightly pink, but felt no discomfort, it was soft, moisturised and felt positively dewy,  to really take advantage of this I think it would be best to lay down relax, and possibly get a little cat nap for the 30 minutes, a home spa treatment in a sachet !

Anyone that knows me will know my love of candles, 32 in the lounge at the last count, I am by no means a candle snob, and my collection ranges from Primark to Dyptique, but my joy at discovering a new range never diminishes, and I was delighted when I received a parcel from Juliette at Home to try out.

This is a bit of a different post for me, I was given Syno-Vital Oral Hyaluronan to try, the reason I have chosen to write a post about this is that it actually works, I had personally never heard of it before and had only ever thought about Hyaluronan being an ingredients  in skin care, never really given it much thought.

 However.........here is what the Company say.......  What is Hyaluronan ?   Hyaluranon is a mucopolysaccharide occuring naturally throughout the human body. It is found in the greatest concentrations in the synovial fluid of joints, the vitreous humour (fluid) of the eye, and most abundantly in the skin. As we all age, our bodies produce less and less hyaluronan.
Oral Hyaluronan ( HA)
HA is found in the synovial fluid in the joints
50% of HA in the body is found in the skin
Vitreous gel of the eye consists of 92% HA




That's the technical bit done, I was taking one sachet a day of this product over a period of 30 days, and I have to be honest and say that I did feel some improvement in aching morning joints, but the biggest thing for me was that during this time I damaged my leg at a strong man competition, supporting not participating !   resulting in what should have been 12 weeks hospital physio.  I was healed, off crutches and discharged in 3 weeks, NOW  I am not saying that it was down to taking this supplement, but the therapist was amazed at the recovery and I was as happy as I could be, walking normally again. 

Coincidence ?  I'm not so sure.

 I usually tend to go for traditional when it comes to Christmas but this year anything Rose Gold or Copper has been the thing for me, I have been having a little search around for Christmas Decorations in these themes and have been blown away by the prices !

Yes I know it's lovely to have something different, but for example the copper diamond tree decoration I spotted at 9.75 for ONE !  too much for me, having had my heart set on finding them cheaper I managed to find a little range of copper wire decs at bargain prices, instead of £9.75 I found the diamond for £1.50 !!! happy bargain dance :)

As I promised on   I would be talking about a product that I have not personally tried.  My Lovely friends at Skin Chemists sent an eye cream for Mr Lavender Barn to try,  Wrinkle Killer Eye Serum Pour Homme.    He is a brilliant Guinea pig for me and can often be seen sporting a face mask lol....... Don't be fooled into thinking these are just another fashion range of polishes with a celebrity name tag, far from it ;  I would honestly say  you will be hard pressed to find quality and staying power at this price anywhere !






As a reader of my blog, you will know that I don't check the price of a product or read a press release before testing myself and making up my own mind, I think it's too easy to be swayed by a high price on a product to make you think it's great.....  well; comparing these to the quality of Chanel, Nailed won hands down ( no pun intended)  I was lucky enough to be given 6 polishes including the base coat and gel top coat, The colours I tried were, Noodle Nude as shown on my , Rosies Red which is her signature Red, Sugar Lips a gorgeous Baby Pink, and Thigh High Club, which is the one I would say is in the same style as Rogue Noir from Chanel,  difference being, Rouge Noir lasted me not quite 2 days !  Thigh High Club started to show signs of wear on day 5.....big difference especially in price, 



I also had my daughter try out one of the polishes ( noodle nude) and she rang me on day 4 to report no signs of wear,  (Busy Mum and part time waitress ) so she is certainly hard on polishes.

I have to say these really were a pleasant surprise, it's not often that I try something and it becomes a [No 1 ] product, but this range is definitely there, everything from the weight of the handle to the softness of the brush is spot on, the polish just flows on really easily with 3 strokes, and the darker shades actually look perfect with just one coat, which in my opinion is unheard of, the Gel top coat gives a glass like finish that looks as though you have stepped straight out of a salon.

And at £6.99 it's hard to think they could be produced for that price.

Hello gorgeous, yes you, we don't know each other but in my opinion you are gorgeous for clicking on my little page.

This last week I have been overwhelmed by the comments and feelings running through the whole of social media regarding  (trickery)  I can't think of a better word for it, by this I mean the contrived trickery of a visually perfect life.  OK lets be right here, there is nothing wrong with aspirational, brands like Hermes, Chanel and Loubie, they would be out of business if it weren't for our lust to have the "best".....but, has it all gone a bit bat shit crazy ?  Girls sobbing on YouTube saying social media has ruined their life !

 Disgusting scenes of women fighting over clothing from a High St brand just because they collaborated with a designer, that lets be frank, this generation would never have heard of it has not been for the "queens" of social media The Kardashians, The real Queen has worn this brand, and nobody kicked a security guard to copy her !
 Items of the H&M collaboration being sold on Ebay within hours of the launch for higher prices than the real deal, whatever you want to call it, at the end of the day it's still H&M, fair play to them with the marketing hype, but didn't it just bring out the worst in people ? 

Last night I saw another young girl saying she was quitting social media as it was all so fake, this particular one apparently bought clothes, to dress up in just to take her own photo without leaving the house, pretending she was having a good time as a party animal, oh dear lord !  where was her Mother ? if she had been one of mine.....that's another story, but really ?  was this social media ? or was it her wanting to be popular ?  Maybe it's because I am old, but I honestly just want to shake these kids, wake up love, it's not social media, contouring, pouting, buying special lighting, it's YOU and YOU alone, you are the creator of your own misery, lol we all have choices, it's like saying TV ruined conversation, who turns it on ? 

Of course, I am as guilty as the next person for wanting to see visually pleasing images, but to actually stage it, and pretend you are living some sort of magazine life is nonsense, of course I don't want to see a pile of dirty wash in the background of your YouTube Vid, but I also don't enjoy seeing it jumping all over the place in soft focus where you have attempted to edit the arse out of it !  

This all started because as humans we are  naturally curious (nosey) and we like looking in on other peoples lives, and in it's day YouTube, Blogging, whatever the medium was perfect for that, which is why it became so popular, but now, are you actually seeing anything real ? or, is it that it's a generation thing ?  am I just being way to sensible with this and not seeing it through a teens eyes ? maybe so, hands up guilty of sitting planning with Grandaughter the perfect Pinterest bedroom ! 

Or maybe I am just cynical, when I see sobbing over such trivia, Sob over the child with Cancer or the guy that has come back from a war with no legs, not because you couldn't get marble for your Instagram pics or a certain jacket was sold out ! 

That's my little rant over with, I would love your thoughts on this, am I alone in thinking it's all just a little bit silly ?

Now having an empty nest I have decided to turn one of the spare rooms into an office for my internet rambling, and as I am a bit of a neat freak the sooner the better, as products and press releases etc are in almost every room downstairs, yup even the kitchen, I tend to have them out all the time they are being tested, then moved to the best light for photography, then moved next to me where ever I am with the laptop, so things do tend to get spread around, well no more !

It only suddenly occurred to me today to look on the print section of Not On The High Street.....why didn't I think of that before ? When it comes to Christmas, in our house we like to do silly presents alongside the main presents, I think it kind of replaces the Christmas Stocking gifts now that the kids have all grown up.

I was having a little online mooch as you do this time of year, and remembered IWOOT  I Want One Of Those.  Every year when someone produces something unusual I always say oh where is it from ? and every year I get the same answer !  well this year I remembered, and I will produce the cool gifts lol.

Some are a bit tongue in cheek, we do have a naughty sense of humour in our house, especially the boys who can be really naughty with toilet humour, I have 14 on Christmas Day for lunch, so a lot off little gifts will be needed. here are a few of my giggles.

 Coming up to the Christmas Season, I know we have only just hit November but a lot of black tie events will have already started, and of course you don't want to wear the dress you wore for 3 hours last year !

I have been having a little browse at some long dresses, and have found my favourites from Phase Eight, it's a funny thing with Phase Eight and I don't want to do them an injustice but when looking for clothes I tend to forget about them until I wander into a concession and want to buy everything in sight.

I love them for being not young and overly trendy, but not old lady either.

I just wanted to show you an example of a couple of dresses I thought were a nice break away from the standard plain black, but with a little something extra.
