Delfy Water Resistant Foundation 35ml

In it's super stylish pump container this waterproof foundation is available in a range of 7 shades, it will not transfer onto clothing so you don't get any of that messy neckline on a white shirt. It applied like a dream and blended seamlessly, I used both fingers and a foundation brush and found both eaqually as good. Medium coverage that is easily buildable, lightweight and comfortable to wear, to the point that you feel as though there is nothing on your skin at all. This foundation gives a matte finish but not a dry looking matte, my skin felt soft and moist.  I didn't find it to highlight lines or wrinkles and was incredibly long lasting. In fact I would place money on this outlasting the top selling Double Wear foundation currently on the market. Shade shown here is Natural 20.

Delfy Extra Volume Mascara 12ml

I am honestly blown away by this mascara, the legnth and volume it gives the lashes in just one coat is ridiculous, you seriously have to do a double take, the creamy formula alongside the super cone shape brush picks up every last lash like a dream. The packaging is nothing less than stunning and 12 ml is a pretty good size for a mascara almost double the volume of most tubes. being a creamy formula it's super easy to get a tightline look with the second coat application. I tested this on our hottest days and without powder under the eyes or fixing spray it didn't fair too well in the heat, but in fairness to it I don't think anything did in these temperatures. That said with a little powder keeping the under eye area dry it was perfect, and as I write this post today has been rainy and gloomy and it has fared beautifully.

Let me just start by saying that the use of Lavender here is not overpowering, I know a lot of people are put off my Lavender fragrance but with this oil you will benefit from its stress relieving and relaxing powers without smelling like a Nana's  Lavender bag!  The blend is enough to give you all of the healing properties of the flower while at the same time adding a fresh glow and relaxing the face, when we are stressed the first place it shows is in the face, this is the solution. I can honestly say I have never used a face oil like it. I am always put off even by just the words Face Oil I don't want a greasy slimy face unless it's for cleansing. But this!  a couple of drops pressed into your palms and patted lightly onto your face with a gentle massage is like heaven itself, pure unadulterated luxury. Nothing here leaves you greasy or slippery, just a beautifully absorbed product leaving soft, hydrated skin.  I use this after cleansing as a stand alone product, I don't need to use anything else when using Olio Lusso it gives me all the moisture I need, This oil is suitable for all skin types even oily skin benefits from is calming properties. I particularly enjoy this oil at night as it gives a relaxing vibe to your night time routine just before hitting the pillow.

Aquis Luxe Hair Towel

This is a bit of an update really as I very first experienced this product in 2016, you can read my first thoughts and experiences of the Aquis Hair Turban  here.

The reason for this update is whilst my original Aquis Lisse Luxe is still going strong after what now must be hundreds of washes I am the proud owner of a new towel, why would I need two?  here's the thing........ one is a towel and one is a turban. I share my house with girls, adult girls I might add they type of girls that steal "borrow" your things and don't give them back!  I can often be found retrieving my turban from a bedroom that isn't mine, and cursing while I do it lol. I don't mind sharing but with this product I will admit to getting the hump.  NO MORE! my new towel isn't even going to be seen by anyone else it's staying firmly in my gym bag, I know this sounds odd but if you visited my gym and ever tried to get a space in front of a mirror let alone get your mitts on a hairdryer you will understand that I would have more hope being selected for the Olympics, these women seriously get 100% ready in the gym! full on hair, face the works. I for one don't have the time nor the patience to wait for these mega performances to be over so for me, it's a quick shower soak up with the towel, pop done and in the car! you may well laugh but trust me I look a whole lot better than I did with a regular towel around my head in the car and on the plus side being there is no chance of it slipping and covering my eyes ha ha. Always a plus when driving! Although this is a towel designed for hair I have to admit to now needing a separate one for my bod, this miracle fabric soaks up so much water it would work as as a shower towel for the gym and weigh a heck of a lot less that a wet terry towel, on the plus side it comes with it's own waterproof sealable bag.

Since I first wrote about Aquis the brand have now launched into Selfridges not just their own site. Which to me speaks for itself, Selfridges don't take on any old brands, oh no! only the best reach their shelves.

The feeling of well being you get from using this product is amazing it leaves you wanting to just breathe in and smile, I have to say though that the fragrance is not one that is so overpowering it stops you using other products. Once applied I could leave the bathroom moving on to my daily routine without a mix of products being overwhelming.  The one major thing I would say about this body oil is that I found the best benefits came at nighttime especially on the legs, not only does it solve any dry skin issues, massaging in to tired legs before bed was lovely and left them feeling less "heavy" at night.

Dr Teals Detoxify & Energise Epsom Salts with Ginger & Clay

You of course know the benefits of an Epsom Salt bath soak right? If you have never tried one you are truly missing out!  You may have seen bags of salt in the shops and thought it was just something to throw in the bath as you would foam or perfumed bath bombs, but no, it's much much more than that. Once you start bathing on a regular basis with Epsom Salts you wonder how you ever functioned before.

I am 100% a shower person for cleaning the bod, however I do indulge in salt baths not for getting clean, simply for the sheer joy of them. You will see various brands out there but they are not all the same, some are little more than perfumed bath salt which will leave you itchy and dry, Dr Teals Salts come in a range of varieties each doing a different thing, I would usually use something with lavender for a nighttime before bed soak, I promise once your head hits the pillow after 20 minutes soak you will have the best nights sleep ever!  This time round I have tried out an energising soak, obviously not something you want to do at night as trust me these titles are no gimmick!  The Ginger and Clay in this soak really did boost both mood and energy, it is one of those things that you need to do if you have an evening thing to do after a long hard day, trust me, give yourself 20 and you will be raring to go!

Always with a salt bath it's good to be generous, you need at least two cupfuls, if you are using a cheapie brand you will need the whole packet and more. add the salt to running warm water, get in and relax, I mean really relax, don't do anything, just close your eyes and let the salt do it's work. You will find after about 10 minutes you start to sweat, don't worry this is normal, it's the toxins leaving your body and leaving muscles softened and less tense, another 10 minutes and you are good to get out, warning......... with this combination you will feel more energy, with a Lavender You will sleep like a baby!
