SUPERDRUG NEW Vitamin C Detox Skincare

SUPERDRUG NEW Vitamin C Detox Skincare

Hi Loves
With the threatened weather warnings we are having at the moment,  I am pleased to bring a bit of sunshine into your daily skincare routine courtesy of our friends at Superdrug.com. Often things appear in the post that have me thinking "here we go, another novelty"  and I have to be honest and  say I raised an eyebrow at Jam face mask! However, I have been seriously keen to try out this new range and the higher end skincare brands seem to have gone Vitamin C crazy and once again Superdrug are there with an affordable alternative. Which I have to say often as not perform as well as, if not better than some!

This NEW range of skincare is  the Vitamin C Detox  Skincare Range. which comprises of

  • Vitamin C Refreshing Facial Cleanser
  • Vitamin C Revitalising Jam Mask
  • Vitamin C Nourishing Gel Moisturiser
  • Vitamin C Eye Cream
  • Vitamin C Booster

I have three of these products to share with you here,

Superdrug Vitamin C Refreshing Facial Cleanser 150ml

The first thing that hits you is the wake up citrus fragrance of this cleanser, applied to damp skin it's a real multi-tasker not only does it cleanse it gently exfoliates with the Orange peel, Goji Berry and Kakadu Plum extracts. It leaves your skin feeling super fresh and clean without any redness or tight feeling.  I used this as a stand alone cleanser in the morning, which was a fab wake up boost, and as a second cleanse in the evening after first using Superdrug Hot Cloth Cleanser, which as you can see from this blog post I first tried in June 2015.
Kakadu Plum - Has the highest concentration of Vitamin C of any food on the planet.
Goji Berry - Known to induce calm and wellbeing.

SUPERDRUG NEW Vitamin C Detox Skincare Revitalising Jam Face Mask

Superdrug Vitamin C Revitalising Jam Face Mask 75ml

THIS  I was dubious about, honestly I thought it was some kind of novelty item, I mean who puts Jam on their face on purpose?  But for you my gorgeous reader- I did.
And I am glad I did, it's bloody amazing!  Let me start by saying that if you have an aversion to sticky, and I know some people do, then this is not for you.  It really is like Jam, you damp your face, smear on your jam, leave for 10-15 minutes while your jam warms up ( you may actually feel this) then rinse off.  The Orange peel, Goji Berry extract and sugar literally whip off any dead skin leaving you soft and glowing, while the Kakadu Plum extract infuses you with Vitamin C.
I LOVE this, my skin was left feeling and looking soft and alive, and I am so glad my first impressions were wrong, I will be Jammin for a long time to come I think.

SUPERDRUG NEW Vitamin C Detox Skincare Nourishing Gel Moisturiser

Superdrug Vitamin C Nourishing Gel Moisturiser 75ml

Now!  this is where you really get the full citrus blast, the fragrance on this gel is out of this world.  A light gel/lotion type formula, disappears into your skin as though it is refuelling a desperate thirst. What I was particularly impressed with was that I held the moisture all day, at no point did my skin feel dry or tight, It was comfortable with no greasy residue, in fact it leaves you with mattified skin ready for foundation with no primer. win win.

There are a few reasons I am crazy for these products, firstly I am addicted to anything with a citrus smell, I totally love a bargain, the jars are 75ml rather than the standard 50ml. The Products work!
