Hello to your gorgeous self
Can I just start by appreciating the sheer flippin glamour in this Aldi Lacura packaging ! I mean seriously at £6.99 just the packaging alone is worth every penny, don't you agree ?
However, as much as I am a sucker for great packaging, I have learnt not to be fooled by all that glistens when it comes to skincare products, I have found some of the dullest jars to contain the most hard working products, and some of the most beautiful to contain nothing less than lard in a jar ! so all is not always as it seems, unless it's from Aldi who in my opinion seem to be masters of the understatement ! anyone who has had the award winning Christmas Pud will back me on that one :)
As regular readers will know I have written quite a lot about Aldi Skincare products in the past, and I have to say in 100% honesty I have never found one I didn't like Love.

This new little gem from the Lacura skincare stable, is nothing less than a joy to use, if you are ancient like me and remember fragrances like Camay & Lux Soap then you will know exactly what I mean when I say this rich emollient cream smells identical to these soaps, for me, not a problem but if you have incredibly sensitive eyes I would imagine the fragrance may make them water, ( you are advised to avoid the eye area ) but at the price it's well worth giving it a try, I could be completely wrong.

Lacura CellSation is part of a 3 product range that has been specifically designed for 50+ skin, containing Yarrow, Red Algae and Narcissus Extract these natural extracts are designed to improve cell regeneration leaving you with softer fresher looking skin ( nods head ) yes it does. One of the biggest comments I get whenever I write about Lacura or Aldi is that the products are a nightmare to get hold of, as each branch stocks different things, and once it's gone you can't always get it again...........WELL problem solved, you are now able to buy online direct from Aldi and this range can be found here.

Lyn - I had completely forgotton about Camay and Lux soaps. My mum had them when I was very small and now I remember vividly unwrapping them from their thick waxy packets and this white round tablet of pongy soap sliding out. They had a relief pattern on each bar of a womans face in silhouette and along with is-she-or-isnt she Harmony hairspray, and were about the best that Boots the Chemist had to offer back then, how far we have come! I've just bought a jar of Cellsation, but havent found anything to top the Vitacell range, in the silver La Prariesque jars, especially the amazing eye cream which is now selling for £25 a pop on ebay.
ReplyHi Lou, I'm glad it bought back some memories. I have not seen Vitacell for ages, that is my one big gripe with Aldi, I love everything they do skincare wise, but it vanishes as soon as you need to buy it again!
