Alterna Caviar Anti Ageing Infinate Color Hold

I am really curious to get everyone's view on this topic, Anti Ageing for hair ? do we really need it ?

I must admit, when I have seen other brands promote names such as Pro V etc I have often thought ( ageing bandwagon ) and when I was approached by Alterna I will admit to being cynical to say the least, that said I am a firm believer in high end hair products giving a better result than cheapies, for many reasons.  Hair ageing is not a beauty gimmick to encourage us to part with our pennies, it's fact, our follicles betray us as we age, our hair suffers with pollution build up the same as everything else, and we are more likely to torture our hair now than ever before, we all know how wiry and dry grey hair left untreated can be, so even if you are a gorgeous chestnut brown on the box, you are possibly grey and wiry underneath, as my own hair started to turn more and more grey the condition was lacking, as I left it to grow out it failed me and wouldn't turn that gorgeous white grey that I lusted after, so I decided to packet colour it all over grey, so even at 60 I am still abusing the poor stuff, with dye and daily straighteners !

Designed to rid hair of excessive product build up and protect colour for up to 60 days, you only need the smallest amount of shampoo with this product, it starts off as lather and within seconds changes to an almost cream consistency this is the first time I have experienced this with any shampoo, it feels really luxurious and your hair is left feeling super clean but not squeaky.

When using this conditioner I was pretty underwhelmed as the experience with the shampoo had been so luxurious I expected something similar from the conditioner, it was nice, easy to apply, again a small amount was enough, BUT it left my hair feeling amazing, as it rinsed through with the water it felt fabulous.

Alterna Caviar Anti Ageing Infinite Color Hold Vibrancy Serum 50ml

This serum is a great product, it acts as a dual purpose in that you can use it as a hair mask and also as a regular protection serum, I used the tiniest amount applied to damp hair after washing, as always with serum less is more, when my hair was dried it was super soft and needed less stying than usual, I also tried the serum as a hair mask,applied to dry ends and leaving it on for 30 minutes, the result again was fabulous, you could both see and feel the difference.

Alterna Caviar Anti Ageing Infinite Color Hold Topcoat Shine Spray 125ml 

This spray is designed to seal and protect the hair give you gloss and protection from UV damage, it really is the finishing touch to the range and leaves your hair soft and silky with the most amazing shine, what I would say is don't overdo it with this product, you really only need a spritz to achieve the gloss, and more and you will end up with greasy looking locks, as such this bottle will last you literally forever, as always with this range less is more.

Overall I loved every product in the range, the combination of the four really gave salon results which is where you would usually find this brand, I liked the fact that it protected the colour and that the smallest amounts of each were all that was needed.
