Nuxe | Solait | Primark Battle of the Shimmer Oils

Nuxe | Solait | Primark Shimmer Oils

Hiya Golden Girls

I wanted to do a comparison of the three Golden Shimmer Oils that I have recently tried and plan to get lots of use from as soon as the sun shines, if you have never used a shimmer oil, you would be shocked at the difference it makes to the look and feel of your skin, either over a real tan or a fake tan, it will highlight and moisturise, with a gentle shimmer, ( no glitter allowed ) ever wondered how TV stars have such gorgeous looking shins ?  Shimmer Oil, this miracle can even be used to add a bit of glamour to the ends of your hair. I love Tans and I love Gold so this to me is the perfect summer product, plus it makes you feel just a little bit glam and special.

Lets start with the cheapest, yes you guessed it;

 Primark Shimmer Oil

 Primark Shimmer Oil at £3.00, now if you can manage to get hold of this I congratulate you, as always with Primark it's hit and miss as to whether your local branch will stock it. I bought this after trying Nuxe as I wanted to test out both ends of the scale, I really quite liked this, it has a definite bronzing effect with a nice shimmer, as to it's skincare qualities I can't really comment as there is little or no information. Note: the second ingredient on the list is Mineral Oil so I would definitely not use this on my face. This is a little too greasy for use on the hair. The fragrance is light and fruity.

Next up is ;

Solait Shimmer Oil

Solait Shimmer Oil from Superdrug, £4.99 125ml currently on offer at £3.29  HERE
This Oil is Vegan friendly and as always with Solait, cruelty free, Vitamin E, Argan, Sweet Almond and Rosehip Oils both soften and condition your skin, so not only does it bring the softest delicate shimmer it is also moisturising while looking fab. The fragrance is pure holiday, it's like a warm summer Mediterranean evening. I would say the shimmer on the Solait Shimmer oil is the most delicate of the three. I have used this on my Face, Hair and Body.

Nuxe Shimmer Oil
Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Or

 Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Or | Multi-Usage Dry Oil - Golden Shimmer £20.00  50 ml
The glass bottle looks almost identical to the Primark version, the fragrance is

With Borage, St Johns Wort, Sweet Almond, Camellia, Hazelnut and Macadamia, plus the addition of Vitamin E, this is a body conditioner with the identical properties to the original Huile Prodigieuse with the addition of the golden shimmer, this is actually identical in look to the Primark version, although the quality list of ingredients is where the real difference shows. The fragrance of Nuxe Dry Oil is lightly powdery perfumed, reminiscent of an expensive beauty hall. It can be used on Face, Body and Hair.

Having used all three of these I would honestly give my vote to Solait Shimmer Oil, for fragrance subtlety of shimmer and value for money, I do however love the glass bottles of the other two, but from a practical point of view with travelling the Solait Plastic Bottle if far more practical.
