This is one for the boys, if the man in your life is either into personal grooming or indeed could do with a bit of a spruce and dragging into the new age this award winning new brand is really worth investigating.

I had not heard of Monroe of London so used Mr LB to test it out, he is good with his skincare especially as he works outdoors, also after a recent hospital trip and a skin scare he has become very aware of the need for daily SPF regardless of the weather.

The first thing that strikes you about this brand is the packaging, both stylish and classic, brand founders Luke & Gareth both have a history in fashion photography which explains the eye for stylish detail, whilst being new fresh and modern the feel to the brand is traditionally British, developed in Harley St using the best in skincare ingredients it has been designed for all men regardless of age.



Moisturiser & Shave Balm SPF20

This really is a multi purpose product, it's almost fragrance free so causes no sting or ouch moments after shaving, perfect as both a day and night cream.  The thing that in my opinion sets it above most other skincare for men is the SPF20,  it has a light formula that spreads really easily leaving no greasy residue just soft moisturised touchable skin. Hyaluronic Acid ensures the skin stays moisturised in the long term with it's ability to hold 1000 times it's own weight in moisture. We all know that the best intentions can go out of the window when it comes to SPF in the winter, the beauty of this product is that it's taken care of for you.

Hand & Body Lotion

Right I have to be honest, Mr LB is not a hand cream user, he does however use moisturiser on his bod, once again a dual purpose product that absorbs easily with a light extremely delicate fragrance, I am actually loving the fact that the products are not overly fragranced and fighting with each other for attention.

Matte Clay

I can't give you a full review on this as the Mr is a baldy who shaves his head, it is designed to me used on dry hair for a matte texture, and on damp hair for natural shine, again dual purpose !



Hair & Body Wash

getting the theme ?  dual purpose again !  This hair & body wash has the beautiful fresh signature fragrance of Monroe, this is a lovely product that gently cleanses and moisturises the skin, again as with everything in this brand you don't need a lot of product, containing Seaweed, Ginger & Bamboo with Pro Vitamin B5 takes care of the condition of the skin while leaving the perfect fragrance base for the fragrance Cologne.



Cologne. Amber, Jasmine & Lime

This is just beautiful, clean fresh and masculine, it literally is the kind of smell that would have people asking what you are wearing, it has a zing that would wake you in the morning but with a lasting power that's still there in the evening, the addition of the Amber gives a warmth and depth to the fragrance while the softness of jasmine just takes the sharpness from the lime leaving it fresh and fruity.  I would 100% buy this for him again, I love it, Oh he does too LOL which is handy !

Overall Monroe has been pretty impressive both in terms of design and quality, paraben free, cruelty free and packed with fabulous ingredients, I really think this is one to watch !  Take a look at the website to discover much much more than this, there are a host of products covering every aspect of male grooming.
