Moroccanoil Treatment

Hi Loves,

Why is it that we are so busy reaching for the latest new product on the market that we forget the originals and more often than not the product that started a craze ?

I doubt there is a person on the planet that has not heard of Moroccanoil, it is the iconic product that started the Argan Oil craze in 2007, nowadays the market is flooded with products that claim to include Argan Oil and mostly in very small percentages.  This product makes no super trendy claims, it doesn't need to, it is what it is, a product that has a history that can be traced back to the women of Morocco who first discovered it as natural hair care, that can also be used on nails and skin, on a personal note, I have also used this a cuticle oil.

Back to my original thought, I first used Moroccanoil Treatment in 2010, I was bought a small bottle by my eldest daughter and it literally lasted me forever, bearing in mind that back then the market was not flooded with hair oils, and we didn't have GHD's to produce smooth shiny locks, or at least I didn't, it was, I remember the miracle that tamed the frizz, way before such products were marketed for that purpose alone, if I recall I had no real clue how to use it, and often went to bed coated in oil with my hair wrapped in a towel, not a bad thing and something I would do again, as when you wash your hair in the morning, the shine and condition is really something special, since my little bottle ran out I was seduced by other new shiny advertising and serums that in truth only produced a shine by the use of Silicone, I am pleased to say that I have been re-introduced  to my first love and am delighted with the results it is giving me, soft, shiny frizz free locks.

This gorgeous product deserved it's own page in Pretty Iconic by Sali Huges.

My hair is currently a short/mid length  bob and I use  2 pumps on clean towel dried hair, from the mid section to the ends, and I then run the remainder very lightly through the whole head, you don't want oily roots, I am currently using the light version which is designed for fine or light coloured hair. I must admit to only ever thinking of the classic brown glass bottle when I think of Moroccanoil, but just a quick look at their website really gets my shopping mojo working, my new lust item is the  which I am desperate to compare to Nuxe huile prodigieuse shimmer.
